ecoloqo

ecoloqo is a social bookmarking site that works visually and collects views of the best looking and most useful sustainability websites. The aim is to explore how sustainability is represented on the web and provide the opportunity to examine and discuss both webdesign and sustainability.

ecoloqo is for all in design and those interested in sustainability and the web.

It has three basic views:

- a tagcloud of subjects that users have tagged their sites with, as at USER TAGS (above)

- the tagged collections of visual cues or cropped elements that give us thumbnail views of the sustainable web. THUMBNAILS, see above, records this developing set of views as they are loaded to the site, and

- the access to the individual screengrab records of websites with a chance to vote upon, comment on as well as view the site live.

Design is essential for a sustainable world; here we can showcase the best and discuss the ways forward to inspire others to join in to create the world we need.

We're creating the visual language of sustainability by collecting and highlighting the best, making sustainability attractive to the webuser by sharing the insights of the design community.
